Our Dogs

As we only breed F1 First Generation Cockapoos, our breeding dame and sire each need to be a purebred Cocker Spaniel and Poodle. This ensures a perfect 50% even mix of the poodle and cocker spaniel genes, and maximizes hybrid vigor. (With F2 generations and beyond, you run the risk of having a puppy that may be more cocker than poodle or vise versa.)

Our Dames

We currently have 3 dames, Lady Magnolia Blossombelle (Magnolia), Lady Imogene Isabelle (Genie), and Lady Caroline Dixiebelle (Dixie). Genie and Dixie are our second generation of dames, and were both birthed by Lady Annabelle Primrose (Annabelle), who is now retired.

Lady Dixie, is shy but sweet, kind, and loving. When she gets past her shyness and comes to you, she loves a belly rub and a sweet snuggle. Her coloring is absolutely gorgeous. She is lean, muscular, and mischievious, but she is also beautiful, loving, and extremely snuggable. Along with her sister, Genie, she loves to get regular tongue baths from her mama, Annabelle. She, along with Genie, is one of our second generation of dams.

Lady Genie is friendly, outgoing, highly social, and loves to make new friends. She is the first to approach and find her humans, jump in their lap, receive hugs and kisses from her family. Her coloring is similar to Lady Dixie, except for her white snout and pink dots around her nose and muscle. Like Dixie, she is lean, muscular, and extremely quick, but she is also beautiful, loving, and extremely snuggable. She loves belly rubs, and loves to still snuggle with her mama, Annabelle. She, along with Dixie, is one of our second generation of dams.

In the spring of 2016, we adopted Lady Magnolia Blossombelle Hamilton of the Ashen Timbers.

Lady Magnolia, is quiet and shy, but she can hold her own with the boys and with her sassy sisters. She likes to wait until you're settled in a comfy sofa before she approaches to curl up by your hip. She loves to be held, with a sweet, sweet loving temperament. She has the most interesting facial expressions and beautiful smile, and when her hair grows out, she has the cutest mop of fur on top of her head which could cover her amazing eyes if you let it.

Magnolia is a proven dame and has sired two litters with Sir Jack Frost, both of which resulted in a mix of buff/apricot, cafe au lait, and chocolate colored puppies.

Our Sire

Monsieur Jacques Hiver Hamilton de la Frost of the Second Creek (or as we call him, Jack Frost) joined us in 2013 and he and Lady Annabelle have really hit it off. Sir Jack is healthy, gentle, loving, sweet-tempered, full of energy, and wonderful with the kids. He certainly does not fit the "yapper dog" stereotype. We are hoping he will pass on his temperament to many adorable cockapoos down the road.

Jack wants nothing more than to snuggle up next to his family members each and every day. He has a wonderful personality, though he can be a bit strong-willed at times. He is highly intelligent, and around here he is our little escape artist. All dog areas and runs must be Jack-tested, Jack-approved. If you give him an inch, he will take a mile.
